This page explains how Odisea handles information for Moontime Stories, a calm story library for families.
Who we are
Moontime Stories is provided by Odisea. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when families use Moontime Stories on iOS or Android.

About Moontime Stories
Moontime Stories is a story app for families. It offers timeless children’s classics to read, listen to, and download for offline access with Moontime Premium.
The app is designed for parents and guardians who install and manage the app for family storytime.
Information stored on your device
Moontime Stories may store app preferences on your device, such as selected language, reading settings, profile preferences, downloaded stories, and offline audio needed for offline access.
This information is used to make the app work and to remember your family’s storytime preferences on that device.
Catalog, audio, and backend requests
When the app loads the story catalog, story text, audio, images, or download files, it connects to Moontime Stories backend services. Like most internet services, these requests may include standard technical information such as IP address, device/network information, request time, requested URLs, and basic logs used for security, reliability, and troubleshooting.
We use this information to deliver app content, maintain the service, diagnose problems, and protect the backend from abuse.
If you submit a story rating, the rating and the identifier of the published story are sent to our backend so we can record that feedback. We do not send the child profile name with the rating.
Purchases and subscriptions
Moontime Premium subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not directly receive your full payment card details.
We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status and unlock Premium access. RevenueCat may process app user identifiers, subscription status, product identifiers, transaction information, and related technical information needed to validate purchases and restore access.
Product analytics
The iOS app uses PostHog Cloud in the European Union for limited product and reliability analytics. These events can include a random installation identifier and session identifier; app language, version, and release channel; device and operating-system details; onboarding completion; opening a published story; narration and download outcomes; a submitted rating; paywall, purchase, and restore outcomes; and bounded technical error categories.
Story analytics may include the published story identifier and broad catalog attributes such as content language, age band, theme, or whether audio is available. We do not send child or profile names, child profile identifiers, story text or titles, email addresses, free-form text, payment identifiers, or full error messages to PostHog.
We do not create PostHog person profiles or call PostHog identify. Session replay, screen recording, automatic screen-view and element-interaction capture, surveys, rage-click capture, and feature flags are disabled in the iOS integration. The PostHog project is configured to anonymize IP addresses.
Analytics events may be queued briefly on the device when offline and sent after connectivity returns. We use these events to understand whether key app journeys work and to improve reliability.
Apple Ads attribution
On iOS, the app may collect an Apple AdServices attribution token and send it to RevenueCat. This helps us understand whether an install or subscription outcome followed an Apple Ads campaign and measure campaign performance.
The attribution token is provided by Apple and is not a payment-card number, child profile, name, or email address. Apple and RevenueCat process this information under their own privacy terms and may limit or redact attribution details.
Children and families
Moontime Stories is intended for family use. Parents or guardians are responsible for installing the app, managing subscriptions, and deciding how the app is used by children in their household.
We aim to collect only the information needed to operate the app, deliver story content, understand reliability, manage subscriptions, measure our own Apple Ads campaigns, and support users.
Moontime Stories does not display third-party ads. We do not sell personal information.
Sharing information
We may share information with service providers that help us operate Moontime Stories, including Apple and Google app stores, RevenueCat, PostHog, hosting providers, and infrastructure providers. These providers process information so the app can function, subscriptions can be validated, analytics can be produced, campaign attribution can be measured, and content can be delivered.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, Odisea, or the service.
International availability
Moontime Stories may be available in multiple countries. Information may be processed in countries other than where you live, depending on the service providers and infrastructure used to operate the app.
Data retention and choices
Downloaded stories and local preferences can be removed by deleting downloads or uninstalling the app. Subscription management is handled through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
Backend, subscription, attribution, and analytics records are retained only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, subject to security, legal, accounting, and service-provider requirements.
For privacy questions, access or deletion requests, or to ask about records associated with an app or purchase identifier, contact [email protected].
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Moontime Stories evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and publish the revised policy on this page.
